Going to to the gym, you will think you can get relaxed and muscles will grow by themselves. Working your muscles through weight training is not the only factor, neither is physically working out.

Don’t underestimate the effect that sleep has on your workout. You need to rest properly, and that’s not just between workouts. Altering your sleep schedule to ensure getting a steady and sound night’s sleep each night can produce drastic transformations in the outcomes you observe with bodybuilding.

Sleep is crucial for successful bodybuilding for a several reasons. The body need sleep to recover and rebuild its muscle. This is the time when the other body parts are not using energy, or interior resources that the body uses to repair itself from the effects of bodybuilding.

You must rest or your body won’t be able to heal and add new muscle. You will be adversely impacting your gains by not providing enough time for your muscles to heal, recover, and continue to grow in the proper manner.

Another reason that sleep is so important for bodybuilding is that a lack of sleep can cause you to have a lack of focus and a lack of physical energy. A lack of mental focus can destroy your results while you’re in the gym. You can have the best intentions in the world, but if you get in the gym and you can’t visualize the exercises you are going to do and you can’t focus on moving from one to the next, you aren’t going to get a great workout.

Although you might not have the energy or be motivated enough to have a great weightlifting session. There’s only so much your body can handle over the course of a day with a tiny amount of sleep. With everything else going on in your life, its working out that often takes a backseat.

Finally, the unseen reason why sleep is so important for great bodybuilding results is that sleeping restores and maintains a natural rhythm with your body’s hormones. Sleeping releases some hormones into your bloodstream that are essential for proper metabolism and muscle gain. At the same time, sleep also inhibits other hormones that can lead to fat gain and other unseemly consequences.

No matter what you want to maintain a consistent sleep schedule, that means that sleeping for 2 hours on Friday night and then sleeping for 12 hours on Saturday night doesn’t amount to the same benefits as sleeping 7 hours both nights in a row. And that’s what you should shoot for, at least 7 hours a night. Remember, no sleep leads to no gains for bodybuilding, and you’ll be ruining your chances at success before you even get started!

Mitral Valve: Description and Function

The Mitral Valve is also known as the Bicuspid Valve or Left Atrioventricular Valve if you are seriously into tongue-twisting – it is one of the four main valves of the heart. It is shaped like a bishop’s miter (headgear) which is where the name “mitral” comes from, and is a double flapped valve which is situated between the left atrium and left ventricle. To picture this in your mind, think of two sets of paired chambers – they sit on top of each other, the upper, larger chambers are the atria (or atrium if singular) and the smaller, lower ones are the ventricles.

The mitral valve connects the left atrium (left upper chamber) to the left ventricle (left lower chamber).

Along with another valve, the Tricuspid Valve, they control the flow of blood through the heart between the atria and ventricles.

The upper chambers or atria have the job of collecting the blood as it flows into the heart from the veins in the body. Once collected, it must contract in order to force the blood into the smaller ventricles which in turn must contract to force the blood out of the heart and around the body again. The mitral valve acts to prevent the blood from flowing back into the left atrium from the left ventricle and in order to do this, it has two “leaves” which close after the left atrium has contracted, forcing blood into the left ventricle and then open once more when the left atrium is ready to contract and force blood back into the empty left ventricle.

The sound of your heartbeat will have the signature, “du-dum” sound which you may hear on a monitor or know from the television medical series and movies. The initial beat is created by the mitral valve and the tricuspid valve as they finish forcing the blood into the two lower ventricles. The louder, second beat sound is created by the action of the two lower ventricles expelling the blood from the heart as it begins its journey around the body once more.

Issues arise with the mitral valve if it fails to properly seal the opening between the left atrium and left ventricle which leads to backflow of blood from the ventricle into the atrium. This leads to a loss in blood pressure and inefficient circulation of blood around the body. The valve may leak because of inherent weakness in the two leaves which close the opening in between contractions. Another condition may occur where the structures which support the valve itself become diseased or weakened so the valve does not open properly and obstructs the flow of blood into the ventricle. Mitral valve surgery is the procedure used to identify what the root cause is of medical problem associated with it, as well as the remedy to repair the condition.

Symptoms of mitral valve disease include waking up from sleep short of breath or coughing, shortening of breath when you are lying down, exerting yourself or are emotionally distressed, feeling excessively tired, dizziness, swollen ankles or feet, experiencing a fast or irregular heartbeat or a fluttering feeling in your chest.

Its bothers me that most people believe prescription drugs are the best healing cure. They will spend years subscribing to this method and still wont resolve their illnesses..The reason they wont get to the bottom of their illness or disease is because prescription drugs are not the correct answer. In fact, in most cases, you can generate additional problems by utilizing prescription drugs.

Dont believe it? Then why is it, a lot of times, that when you return to your doctor for another visit, you may get an added prescription drug to resolve an additional problem? Your body has a built-in healing system. It will do its job perfectly if you would only do your part by not abusing it. That means feeding it the proper foodstuff, routine exercise, managing stress, adding additional nutrients to your daily regimen and eventually weaning off of any prescription drugs you may be taking.

I share this information with every person in my articles, I write and submit to directories, on my web site and also on my blog. I also share this information with acquaintances I know who have some major illnesses.. What is very disturbing to me is a number of of these friends are so brainwashed by their physicians that they dissuade them from believing the alternative method is not the best.

One friend I talked to concerning alternative treatments has had a severe heart problem for 25 years. He has had by-pass surgery and a number of other minor surgeries over the yrs.. He is not convinced anything else can put an end to his health problem aside from his physician and multiple prescription drugs. Yet he has had several life threatening episodes since then.

A different friend I talked with has even more troubles and feels the same way about his doctor and his drugs. Yet though he listened to my talk about my methods, he discussed it with his MD who councilled him to reject my ideas.

I find it hard to comprehend why a medical doctor would object to alternative healing methods for their patients which is, by far, the safer way to cure. But then I suppose I should know because physicians get very restricted instruction about nutrition in all their years in medical school.Only naturopathic, osteopathic and holistic physicians recognize the value of natural medicine cures and remedies for their patients.

The sway that Big Pharma has on this situation, the medical association attitudes and the US Congress being brainwashed by both of these organizations adds to the sad state of the countrys health. The new administration of Obama in all probability will not correct this issue either. There is only one solution to this major health problem and it is education.

There needs to be legislation to create some type of an educational program to educate citizens how to become healthier persons. If we get that done we will have a healthier society. But if this ever gets accomplished it will be a miracle. You have to recognize that by educating people to become healthier that means a reduced amount of dependence on drugs is needed.

Less reliance on drugs means less business for drug companies and even less business for doctors and hospitals. You see why I say if that ever happens it will be a miracle. So whats the answer to this major health problem here in America? Health researchers, alternative health newsletters written by alarmed doctors and other concerned individuals convincing the general community to take personal charge of their health and practicing alternative methods of cures is the lone solution.

This is the only way we can get this job completed. And believe it or not it is starting to happen even though its a protracted process. More and more people are learning that their MD’s are not correctly treating them and that prescription drugs are not the path to wellness. It may take yrs. for this movement to ultimately solve our health problem, but I believe it will ultimately happen.
