If you are extremely overweight and have decided to consider bariatric surgery as a weight loss option, there are a number of things that you need to consider, including the changes you are going to have to make in your current eating habits. For one thing, you will not be able to eat as much, so you will need to eat small portions of healthy foods that are high in protein. Or you could use protein supplements, both in your meals and as meal replacements.

Any surgery, but especially bariatric surgery, is extremely hard on the body, and following this type of surgery, you are going to need plenty of protein, not only for muscle growth and recovery but to provide you with energy. If you are planning to incorporate high-protein foods into your low-calorie diet, make sure that you eat your foods in a specific order, with the proteins being eaten first.

The majority of healthy adults require between 50 and 75 grams of protein daily. Bariatric surgery patients require even more, as much as 100 grams daily. In order to get the protein that you need following bariatric surgery but not add calories, you should consider using protein supplements.

Types of Protein Supplements

There are many types of protein supplements available, so you need to do your research to make sure that you are using the one that is right for you. Sit down and talk with your physician or dietician to create the best meal plan that includes protein supplements. He or she will be able to help you decide which ones will work best with your weight loss plan. Types of protein supplements include whey, soy, rice, egg, and casein.

Whey – This is what is known as a complete protein because it contains all eight essential amino acids and all 14 non-essential amino acids. This is an easy-to-digest protein, with effects that begin taking place almost immediately. Whey is a milk derivative, a byproduct from the cheese-making process, so it is not the best choice for people who are lactose intolerant or have allergies to milk products.

Casein – This is another milk derivative and is what whey comes from. Casein takes longer to digest than whey, usually up to seven or eight hours, and its effects are longer lasting. Many people recommend that you combine whey and casein to get the best results. This is a product that some lactose intolerant people can use, but it is not recommended for people with milk allergies.

Soy – Soy protein is another complete protein, and because it is vegetable-based, it is great for vegetarians, lactose intolerant people and people with allergies to milk and milk products. This is an ideal protein for people on low calorie, low carbohydrate, high protein diets, because it is gluten-free and is low in fat and carbohydrates. If you are using soy and find that you are experiencing digestive troubles, which has been reported by some, you should switch to a different protein supplement.

Rice – This is also a protein supplement that is good for people who are lactose intolerant or are vegetarians. Also, it is great for people with allergies because it is hypoallergenic. Rice protein is often used for specialized diets following bariatric surgery because it contains no cholesterol or saturated fats. And using rice protein will not cause a rise in blood glucose levels because it is low on the glycemic index.

Egg – Way before protein supplements were invented, people were using eggs to add protein to their diets. Egg protein contains all eight essential amino acids, and you will find many protein powders and other supplements that are made from egg proteins. This is not an option for people with egg or poultry allergies.

Protein Supplements as Meal Replacements

There are many ways that you can use protein supplements as meal replacements. There are a number of delicious protein-packed snacks available on the market today as well as meal replacement protein bars, which are also loaded with vitamins and other nutrients that your body needs.

Another way to use protein supplements to replace meals is to use them to make delicious shakes, smoothies and slushies. By combining protein powder, which is available in many great flavors that include chocolate, vanilla, berry, and fruit punch, with other healthy ingredients, such as juice, berries, fruit, milk, and yogurt you can create a tasty meal replacement that will give you all of the nutrients that you would get from a full meal. And you are getting far fewer calories, as well as less cholesterol and fewer carbohydrates. Both milk and yogurt are also high in protein, so a drink with these ingredients will pack an even bigger protein punch.

Also available are liquid protein supplements that are already pre-mixed, so they are ready-to-drink and portable. These are available in many flavors. Because many liquid protein supplements are milk-based, people with milk allergies and those who are lactose intolerant should read the ingredients carefully. Make sure that you are getting a liquid protein that is made from other sources, such as soy, rice, or eggs.

Adding Protein Supplements to Your Meals

Following bariatric surgery, you need to make sure that your meals are low calorie and high in protein. In addition to eating healthy, high protein foods such as meat, fish, poultry, eggs and milk products, you can add protein supplements to your meals to increase your protein intake. Not only will this additional protein provide energy and help with muscle recovery, it will also help you to feel fuller quickly, eliminating the need for high-calorie snacking.

Protein powders are a great way to add protein to your meals. There are many flavored proteins, which can be used in some meals, but the unflavored ones are usually preferred for this purpose. Protein powders can be added to just about any recipe without compromising the texture or flavor. Add a scoop or two to a glass of skimmed milk or to a bowl of soup or any other dish you can think of.

High blood pressure is a condition that affects millions of Americans every year. Approximately 27% of all American women are affected by high blood pressure, usually between the ages of 18 and 74, and around 70% of woman who are over the age of 65 have high blood pressure to some extent. The condition is even more prevalent in African-American women. Currently, there are approximately one billion people worldwide with high blood pressure, a number which is expected to double within 15 years.

Symptoms of Hypertension

Unfortunately, there are no prevalent symptoms of high blood pressure (although some people do experience nosebleeds). Often, high blood pressure is not diagnosed until a patient is affected by another condition, such as stroke, heart disease, and kidney disease to name a few. Another way to diagnose high blood pressure is to regularly monitor blood pressure, and numbers falling between 120/80 and 139/89 should be regularly monitored, as there could be a risk of a pre-hypertensive condition that needs to be kept in check.

Lifestyle Changes Can Help to Lower Blood Pressure

Anyone who has been diagnosed with high blood pressure needs to take a good hard look at their lifestyle and see where changes need to be made. For instance, exercising, eating right, and losing weight are all great ways to combat high blood pressure, although even with these changes and taking medications, primary hypertension can never be cured, only managed. Secondary hypertension can be cured by dealing with the underlying cause of the condition. Other lifestyle changes include quitting smoking and cutting back on, or eliminating altogether, salt in the diet.

One lifestyle change that is necessary is to adopt a healthy, well-balanced diet that is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, and good fats. One particularly good diet that is recommended by the American Heart Association is the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet, which is loaded with fruits and vegetables, with less meat and fish. But it is also essential to get enough protein, so the vegetables eaten should be rich in protein. Soy is a wonderful source of protein, because it contains all 14 non-essential amino acids and all eight essential amino acids, making it a complete protein.

A typical DASH daily diet plan would consist of the following:

- 7-8 servings of whole grain products

- 4-5 servings of vegetables (cooked and raw)

- 4-5 servings of fruit (can be actual fruit, or juice)

- 2-3 servings of low-fat or non-fat dairy products

- 2 servings, or less, of meat or fish

Protein in the Treatment of High Blood Pressure

It is well-known that salt increases blood pressure, and in order to combat this, it is important to have milk proteins in the diet. Some excellent sources of protein in milk products are from skim milk, cheese, and yogurt. There is a combination of milk-based proteins that will help to reduce salt in the blood: isoleucine-proline-proline(IPP) combined with valine/proline/proline(VPP) is one of these combinations, and in studies, provided a 4.8 decrease in systolic numbers as well as a 2.2 decrease in diastolic numbers.

How to Get Enough of the Right Protein in Your Diet

There are a number of ways to get the right protein in your diet, and many of the dietary sources can be delicious as well as healthy. According to the American Heart Association, a typical diet should consist of 35% protein, but of course, you should always consult with your physician before starting any diet, just to be sure that you will be getting the nutrients that your body needs.

Sometimes, we just do not get enough protein in our daily diets, which can be detrimental to our health. Fortunately, there are a number of protein supplements available that will not only provide the protein we need, but also give us added energy. Some of the more popular types of protein supplements are powder, liquid, and protein shots.

Powdered Protein Supplements

These are extremely popular because they are so versatile. Unflavored protein supplements can be added to just about any recipe to give it a boost of protein. Flavored protein powders, which include chocolate, vanilla, berry, and fruit punch, taste great in shakes, smoothies, and slushies. All you need to do is add a couple of scoops to your favorite fruit or milk drink, and you’re all set with a protein-packed drink that can also be used as a meal replacement.

Liquid Protein Supplements

These are also available in many delicious flavors and can be used as meal replacements as well. Although popular, many liquid protein supplements are made from whey and casein, which are both milk derivatives. Anyone who is interested in using protein supplements but is allergic to milk or milk products or is lactose intolerant, should look for liquid supplements that are made with other proteins, such as soy or rice. Another type of liquid protein supplement is a protein shot, which is low in calories but high in protein (25-35 grams per serving) and tastes great.

Protein Snacks

There are many different protein snacks available that are great for between-meal snacks, providing plenty of protein, thereby providing energy. Some of the snacks available include bars, chips, and even jerky.

Profect

One of the newest protein supplement products on the market is Profect, by Protica. Each serving of this supplement is less than 3 ounces and contains 25 grams of protein. Profect is only 100 calories per serving and zero fat and carbohydrates.

Some of the proteins used in the above supplements include:

Whey and Casein – both milk derivatives, byproducts of the cheese-making process, whey and casein are considered to be complete proteins, having all 22 of the essential and non-essential amino acids.

Soy – this is another complete protein and is also good for people who are lactose intolerant and can’t have whey or casein proteins. Soy is a vegetable protein, so it is ideal for vegetarians.

Rice – this is an excellent source of protein for people with allergies, because rice protein is considered to be hypoallergenic. It is also great for vegetarians.

Have you been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes? Here are some tips.

Have you been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes? Here are some tips.

Diabetes comes on us without warning, is incurable, and potentially life threatening. However, there is so much information available today, along with support, that can make diabetes take a back seat in one’s life.

It can be quite a shock to discover you have type 2 diabetes (or type 1 for that matter). Below are a few small pointers to make your life a little easier, and to make you feel less alone.

Commit yourself to you.

One of the problems with diabetes is that with the correct medication and monitoring, you are almost left to yourself. It’s not a disease that keeps you in hospital until you recover. You have it for life. The fact that medicine is self administered and blood glucose levels self monitored means that contact with your doctor is kept to a minimum. In the early days, this can be a concern. So what you need to do, is put yourself at the centre of your concern. Be careful not to marginalize others, and don’t become self-absorbed, but the fact is there is a lot of information available and you need to explore it and discover how best to look after yourself.

Develop self discipline.

Taking medication and monitoring your blood sugars (keep a written record) keeps you in touch with your diabetes on a daily basis. The fact is, the health professionals treating you can interpret their medical examinations and go into great depth about the current state of your diabetes, but you will find over time that you recognise certain symptoms – you will know when your sugars are rising or falling and take pre emptive action. The fact is, everyone’s diabetes is different. You need to find out what affects you, and you do this by taking charge of yourself.

Get your family involved.

Probably the most important support group is your immediate family and / or friends. You need to keep them onside with you. It can be easy to be very angry at having diabetes at first, and those who are closest to us often have to bear the brunt of our displeasure, so please be careful not to appear to be blaming them, or making rediculous demands. Just have some quiet conversations and explain why you need certain things and what they can do to help.

Work with professionals.

You probably have a medical team, who individually, in this target driven world, are under huge pressure, and simply cannot spend the sort of time with you that you would like. I guess the impotant thing here is to be glad that you don’t have to spend all your time in hospital! However, your health care professionals are there to help you. Never be afraid to pick up the phone if you have doubts or anxieties. Get to know them, treat them with respect, and you will have a solid team behind you.

So you see, you’re not on your own, but diabetes is one of those diseases where the level of support you get is down to you. By using the tips above, you can form a network of support which offers varied skills to make your life easier than you may think.

Many people, when diagnosed with diabetes, simply take what's given and spend the rest of their lives wondering what went wrong.

Many people, when diagnosed with diabetes, simply take what’s given and spend the rest of their lives wondering what went wrong.

This is such a pity, as there are many people out there who can help, and in fact, for you own safety, you should make a point of enlisting the help of others in combating this disease.

Tip 1 – Ensure That You Have Someone At Home And Work, Who Knows What To Do Should You Have A “Hypo”.

Extreme hypoglycaemic events are rare, However, sometimes we don’t notice a “hypo” developing. It is important that you have family at home and colleagues at work who can recognise the symptoms and know what to do in the event of an extreme episode. Carry some form of identification that shows you are diabetic.

Tip 2 – Find an Exercise Partner.

Having someone to exercise with means it’s harder to get out of it! Diabetes requires exercise, which in turn requires motivation. Motivation is difficult to maintain on your own.

Tip 3 – Don’t Listen To The Food Police.

In these days of food “experts”, simply handing out a “healthy food guide” is fine as far as it goes, which isn’t that far. It’s very easy to list “healthy” foods, but diabetes is for life. Your medical team should come up with an eating plan tailored to your needs. Sure, you will have to have less of some things, but there are very few foods, if any, that you should never, ever have.

Tip 4 – Understand Your Medication.

Very important. When you take an interest in your medication, it makes it much easier to take control of your situation. Rather than just take it on autopilot, understanding how it works and what it’s for can help you regulate your blood sugar levels much better.

Above all, try and remain cheerful, as this is probably the most important weapon in the fight to maintain stable blood sugar. Do things you enjoy doing.

The author of this article has had type 2 diabetic for some years now. One of the hobbies he started was camping. Living outdoors with Swis Gear tents is great for easing stress and puting your problems behind you. Swis Gear tents are the author’s preferred choice for their build quality and comfort.

Every week subject of weight loss is in the news. It’s not surprising once we take a look at the statistics. There are 1.6 billion people overweight and 400 million are obese.

It’s no surpise why it’s such a popular topic and one that is in the news every day. Dr. Oz is a popular celebrity on ABC TV and just ran a show on weight loss recently. The person was addicted to sugar, consuming five packets of sugar at a time and wanted to remove sugar from her diet.

Of all the products out there, Dr. Oz only picked 2 natural sweetener products to use: Blue Agave and stevia. Diabetes and over weight stats globally are very high. The food industry has been introducing healthier foods as a positive trend that began over 10 years ago.

Now, the terms ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ are consumers’ popular descriptions in healthy foods. Let’ take a peek at a couple of natural sweeteners the Dr. recommended, and you’ll see why he picks these two sweeteners.

Blue Agave is organic and this natural sweetener is extracted from the heart of the Agave plant and has been consumed for thousands of years. It is sweeter than regular sugar and Agave is a low glycemic Index (GI) sweetener. Slowly absorbed into the body, it prevents artificial rises in blood sugar, so a little works best. Using this organic sweetener instead of table sugar is even good for baking.

Stevia- based sweeteners offer a blend of favorable advantages: natural, high intensity, and zero calories and zero carbs. Stevia-based high purity sweeteners are natural. Stevia is two to three hundred times stronger than regular sugar and has been known for weight control and diabetes.

Uses for stevia sweetener are growing daily and this natural sweetener has both favorable physical and functional advantages. Natural stevia-based sweeteners can be added to a broad group of food uses, beverages, and dietary supplements. Artificial sweeteners with aspartame and sugar are probably going to be the replacement products for new stevia sweeteners, and drinks will be the 1st primary use.

In the U.S., the FDA only approved the first no objection letters for Reb-A’s (Rebaudioside -A) use in foods in 12/08 to Cargill. Before then, dried stevia leaves and extracts could only be used in dietary supplements that date back to 1995. Stevia RA 97 is now known as a natural sweetener and not just a dietary supplement.

This will bring stevia into main stream fast. Dr. Oz is in the know and one of the most recognized physicians on TV today. His choices for two natural sweeteners in weight loss and diabetes is well understood.

If you need to have sweeteners, use either of these two natural ones. Try using either blue agave or natural stevia sweetener and learn how this product is rising in popularity for both weight loss and diabetes. Blue Agave and stevia are available online as well as in many health food shops.

Diabetes that develops during pregnancy is called gestational diabetes. If a woman has diabetes before she is pregnant, this is called pre-existing diabetes, not gestational diabetes.

About four percent of all pregnant women develop gestational diabetes. The cause of gestational diabetes is not completely understood, but it may have to do with hormones that help the baby develop but have a negative impact on the effectiveness of the mother’s natural insulin in her body.

Since gestational diabetes occurs late in a pregnancy, it does not pose a risk of birth defects. The baby can be affected by increasing the baby’s body mass which makes the baby susceptible to injury during birth.

If a pregnant woman has gestational diabetes, the newborn may be at an increased risk for breathing problems. Newborns of women with gestational diabetes may also have low blood glucose levels at birth. People whose mothers had gestational diabetes during the pregnancy may be prone to obesity and type II diabetes.

Testing for gestational diabetes includes drinking a glucose solution and timed blood testing. A blood sample may be drawn at the beginning of the test. Women are typically tested again an hour after drinking a glucose solution and may be tested after a longer period of time.

Gestational diabetes is treated with a diabetic diet. A pregnant woman with gestational diabetes may need to meet with a dietitian who will create a diabetic diet for the pregnant woman to follow.

Three meals and two snacks are typically included in the diabetic diet for gestational diabetes. Food intake is generally not necessarily restricted, but it instructs the pregnant woman to eat a variety of foods from certain food groups for each meal and snack. In exchange list with the food groups and examples of foods and serving sizes for each food group may be given to the pregnant woman as a reference.

Checking blood sugar levels is an important part of managing gestational diabetes. The woman may be required to check her blood sugar levels multiple times a day and report the readings to the doctor’s office. If the gestational diabetes is not well managed, the pregnant woman may need to start taking insulin by injection.

It is not common for a woman or newborn to have diabetes immediately after birth. Women who have had gestational diabetes may be at increased risk of developing type II diabetes. With proper management, the effects of gestational diabetes on the mother and baby can be minimal.

Detailed in this article are 5 different methods that can be used to test your blood sugar levels. Though they differ in the way they do it, these diabetes testing methods perform one and the same thing. Which is best for you is really just a case of personal preference.

1. Blood sugar monitoring at home. This method is the most common. It involves pricking your finger with a sharp needle (professionally designed for this purpose). You will then need to squeeze the finger in order to obtain a drop of blood which you will then place on a test strip. This test strip will then be placed into a meter which will in turn determine your blood sugar level.

2. Alternative self testing. Over the years, meters which allow you to test blood taken from various parts of your body, not just your finger tip, have been developed; possible parts to test include: the base of your thumb, your thighs and your forearms. Despite these additional options drawing blood from your finger tips remains the most used. The reason being that the blood in your finger tips gives a more precise reading than blood in other parts of your body.

3. Drawing blood through laser. In the late 90s, a laser device that was capable of extracting blood from a finger was approved by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration).. This device was in response to the numerous complaints of discomfort and pain caused by the regular pricking of the finger. It’s a popular choice for those who feel uncomfortable piercing their skin with a needle.

4. The continuous glucose monitoring system. This method utilizes a very small tube that can be left under your skin. The device then collects small amounts of fluids and measures the sugar levels or content of these fluids over a 72 hour period. It’s an underused system but should be considered by those who forget or don’t always have time to take blood samples themselves.

5. ‘Gluco Watch’ device. Officially released after approval by the FDA is 2001, the Gluco Watch is a device that you wear on your wrist. This watch-like meter helps you to measure your blood sugar levels three times per hour over a 12 hour period. As a non invasive method, it’s become increasingly popular since it was made available.

Diabetes is a disorder where the body doesn’t produce enough insulin to cover the consumption of food that a person intakes, causing the blood sugar levels to rise. A lot of food, when the body breaks it down for storage, turns into a form of sugar. This is the reason why the diet of a diabetic person is vital. A person who is diabetic desires to watch what they are eating to help control their blood sugar levels as much as possible, whatever if they’re Type 1 or Type 2.

This does not mean a person can’t eat what they want or that they need to stick to a diet that is basically all veggies or fruits. As a diabetic, one needs to eat a range of different foods and in the right proportions to help maintain as healthy of a diet as practicable, just like someone that is not diabetic. Proteins are just as necessary to a diabetic diet as veg, fruits, carbohydrates and the like.

Proteins help to maintain steady blood sugar levels. Carbs, when the body breaks it down, turns into a sugar. This is the reason why it is counseled for an individual who has hypoglycemia to eat a carbohydrate and a protein to help cause the blood sugar level to rise. The sugar makes it rise while the protein helps keep the blood sugar level there, instead of dropping again. Now, you can see how the correct diet is vital for a diabetic.

The menu for a diabetic can be flexible. It does not have to be’set’. The diabetic menu should be low in sugar, of course, and contain masses of proteins and vitamins. Do take into account that sugar can hide in different forms. You may desire to find out how to read the nutritional label of all foods and if they don’t have one, there are books that will aid you in learning the nutritional guidelines for that particular food. Because something announces that it is sugar free, doesn’t mean that it is. If it is sugar free and still has carbohydrates noted on the label, then technically, it has sugar.

The simplest way to be told how to prepare a diabetic menu is to purchase a diabetic cookery book or to talk with a dietary guru. They can help to coach you what to look for, what to steer clear of and what you may have masses of. For example : meat ( non-breaded ), cheese and eggs are just about carbohydrate free, so if you’re looking for a break, then these are perfect as they won’t have an affect on your blood sugar levels. ( Eggs do have 1 gram of carbs, so only eat less than four, otherwise, it will have an effect on your blood sugar levels.

Yes, condiments do affect blood sugar levels. When deciding on your menu, take into consideration the seasonings that you will be using. Spices don’t count ; however and so on should be used sparingly. Also, flour causes blood sugar levels to rise, so anything that is breaded should be consumed carefully. there is a lot to assimilate about diabetic diets and how to prepare a diabetic menu ; once you start doing it, it will just become natural. You’ll automatically know that one piece of white bread is around 11-16 grams of carbs and then you will learn which brand to get ( the lower carbohydrate total ) so you are permitted to consume more.

Blood glucose levels are very important to a diabetic and their consultant. This is a means of determining how much insulin or medication one should take, how their diet must be changed and how their body is reacting to the changes. As a diabetic, you may watch your blood glucose levels on a consistent basis so you can maintain a healthful life.

A majority of the time, it is said that normal blood glucose levels are between eighty and 120, depending upon where you look. Other guides state between 70 and 110 or ninety and 130. Listen to your surgeon as they are going to tell you what your categorical target range is. With youngsters, typically doctors will give a space for a specific target range and then work towards the above listed blood glucose levels.

Your diet helps you to maintain your blood glucose levels. If you eat excessive amounts, your blood glucose levels will rise. If you don’t eat enough, your blood glucose levels will fall. They will also fall due to exercise or activity and even due to heat in the summer time. You’ll want to keep accurate records of your blood glucose levels so you will find out how your body reacts to different foods, exercise, environments and learn to adjust accordingly. Blood sugar levels will rise typically when you are sick ; have an infection. Now you can realize why it is so vital to monitor your blood glucose levels on a constant basis.

When blood glucose levels are high, it is considered hyperglycemia. Hyperglycemia is a serious condition that if not looked after can end up in a Diabetic coma, diabetic retinopathy, ketones in the pee and so on. These are some of the very heavy conditions that can spring from hyperglycemia.

To get your blood glucose levels to drop, usually insulin is required. It also helps to drink lots of water that will also flush out ketones if present. You don’t want to drop your blood glucose levels too fast ; a slow, steady fall is preferred. Taking little insulin doses every couple of hours until the levels have stabilized, is preferred.

When blood glucose levels are low, it is regarded hypoglycemia. This is also extremely perilous. One can pass out from hypoglycemia and if not corrected soon, they could pass away. There are many different appearances of hypoglycemia and as you begin to be told how your own body reacts, you’ll see that maybe how you are affected isn’t the same as another diabetic. This is why regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is extremely important.

The root of diabetes is actually a particularly broad subject and honestly, nobody understands what causes a person to develop diabetes. This is what we do know. Diabetes is a vehicle immune disease which means the body attacks itself ; however we don’t know why the body does this or even what triggers the body to do this. If you want to get technical, the reason for diabetes is the body’s disability to either produce enough insulin or not to supply any insulin at all or the body’s resistance to insulin. When the body does one of these things, diabetes is diagnosed ; however, what causes the body to do this? Who knows?

The pancreas contains the cells, the Islet cells, which are required to produce insulin. In Type one diabetes, these Islet cells are devastated, which in turn, causes the body not to supply any insulin on its own. This means that the diabetic patient will have to take insulin injections to compensate for the body’s lost ability to produce its own insulin.

The American Diabetes organisation is devoted to funding research to help find the cause and the cure, among other things, related to diabetes. As with any other serious illness, there are things that are related to the illness but it isn’t a definite known in the end.

Risk Factors – There are some risk factors that are related to diabetes, especially Type 2 diabetes. By controlling these factors you can reduce your chances of developing Type 2 diabetes. Unfortunately, they do not help to reduce the likelihood of developing Type 1 diabetes even though once diagnosed as having Type 1, you can maintain steady blood glucose levels and ensure a lower side effect rate by controlling these risk factors.

You wish to maintain a healthy diet and eating habits. This could ensure that you maintain a healthy weight and reduce your chances of developing Type 2 diabetes which is usually related to being overweight. You need to develop an exercise routine which will increase you level of physical activity so you may also help to manage your weight.

If you were diagnosed as having gestational diabetes, there’s a chance that you will develop Type two diabetes later in life as well . Other risk factors for Type 2 diabetes include : over 45 years of age, heart problems, high blood cholesterol levels, etc.
