Do you feel down all the time? Maybe you’re constantly tired, but seem to never get enough sleep? What about feeling worthless or like your simply not good enough for anything? If you’ve answered yes to these, you may be suffering from depression.

Many people who are depressed will feel like they are worthless and don’t matter to anyone. They will lose interest in many if not all activities they use to enjoy. Weight loss or weight gain may even be experienced. Thoughts of suicide may fill their days and nights.

Not wanting to have communication with friends or family, feeling as if people hate you even. That would be the worthlessness coming through again, but it’s all things you will think. Low or no sex drive, many people will cut themselves off from everything.

Depression will affect you in many ways, it can change the way you eat as well. Either a weight gain or loss could be experienced when your depressed. Most depressed people will not want to do anything. Even if they use to love it previously, they will now want nothing to do with it.

Some symptoms can go either way as you can tell so far. One extreme to the other, would be a good way of placing depression. There are many quick little tests you can take online for how your feeling. Try one of those and see what you come up with, if it states you may be depressed head into see a doctor.

The process can take a while, that’s why it’s important to be completely honest with your doctor. If your having feelings of committing suicide tell them, that way they can place you somewhere. Where you can be safe and not have the chance to kill yourself. Plus a way they will be able to watch and see how you’re doing on the medicines.

Many doctors will also suggest that you seek out a therapist to see if they can also help you out. Because the medicine they give you will not be a cure all. Plus many of them take a long time to even work. Four weeks is a while to wait when your thinking of killing yourself.

But if you’re feeling that way you should tell the doctor who will make sure you get somewhere they can watch you. However, if you’re not feeling that way at present, make sure you call when you do feel like committing suicide. Call a friend to help you out as well, someone close who will be there for you.

Even once you’ve found a medicine it’s not a cure, you will still have symptoms at times. You’re not going to completely be better. So keep those therapy appointments to help work through ways of fending off the depression as well as you can. Talk to your friends and don’t close yourself off. Live a life that is full of fun, and attempt to do things that bring a smile to your face. Most of all don’t decide to take your life because of depression.
