Get Results With These Oily Skin Care Products
Ive noticed over the years that many people have had problems with oily skin care products. A lot of times a product designed to rid you of the problems related to oily skin will either dry the skin out too much, or it will simply make the problem worse. So how do you find a product that will actually solve your problems?
Essentially, before you buy any one cosmetic product, there are certain things you need to take into consideration. First and foremost, you should always read the label carefully because you may often find that only one ingredient in a product is problematic.
In most cases, products designed to treat oily skin will contain at least one ingredient which could be a problem, although some products also contain alcohol. Of course, alcohol does nothing apart from drying up the oil your skin is producing, and because these various types of alcohol are notoriously strong, you end up with dry skin.
There are other ingredients that you will want to check the label for also. There are certain agents that you will find in cosmetics products that are added with the intent of them acting as natural moisturizers. The petroleum based versions of these are undoubtedly some of the worst that your product could contain.
Two of the most widely used moisturizers in oily skin care products are petrolatum, and mineral oil. These are both petroleum based moisturizers, and despite their different consistencies they are actually one and the same. These moisturizers will dry your skin out with long term repeated use.
These compounds will also give you far more problems with your skin than you ever bargained for. Due to their consistency these ingredients will not easily absorb into the skin. They will leave a greasy film on your skin, attract dirt, and clog your pores, which will eventually lead to blackheads and possibly acne.
Rather than petroleum based moisturizers, oily skin care products should ideally used natural ingredients which are plant based, because such oils can be absorbed into the skin without leaving any oily film on the surface.
In fact, linolenic acid, which is an extracted from the Maracuja passion fruit of Brazil, is one ingredient which should essentially be included in all oily skin care products due to its ability to help regulate the natural production of oil in the skin.
While there certainly are some companies manufacturing good quality oily skin care products that do deliver results, most of these companies are relatively small compared to the big names, and as such, it’s not always easy to source a suitable product. However, if you really do care about your skin, then you should seriously consider trying out some of their products.
