What Your Stretch Mark’s Color is Trying To Tell You?
So you do have stretch marks. They are those linear scars in your stomach, buttocks, thighs, upper arms or breasts. Now that you know you have them, you would like to remove them. You would like to use the best stretch mark removal treatment that is available in the market today. And since a stretch mark cream is the most extensively advertised cost-effective solution there is nowadays, you will most likely choose it.
But before you grab one from the nearest store, notice that there is a color that your stretch marks are flashing. Their color tells you what stretch mark cream could best treat them. Are your stretch marks bright or dull? Are they red? Purple? Gray? Silver? Or white?
The color of your stretch marks gives you a hint about what stage of development they are already in when you first recognize them. Their color tells you how old they are. Whether it would be easy or difficult to get rid of them depends on how young or old they are. Similar with other health problems, stretch marks are easy to eliminate if they are new and alternatively, difficult to get rid of if they are old.
If your stretch marks are reddish or purplish and bright in color, they are newly developed. These colors are indications of the internal damage that these stretch marks have just recently inflicted to your blood vessels. These newly developed stretch marks are best treated by a stretch mark cream that can effectively penetrate deep into the inner skin where the damage occurred. Vitamin E, squalene oil, collagen, pro-Vitamin B5 and extractions from aloe vera, grape seed and cocoa butter are among the active ingredients that a cream for this type of stretch marks should have.
If your stretch marks are still reddish or purplish, treat them immediately. Do not wait until they become old and fade into dull colors of white, gray or silver. It takes longer to remove old stretch marks or worse, removing them completely may take more than a stretch mark cream. However, old stretch marks can still fade substantially. To do this, use a stretch mark cream that come in package with exfoliating ingredients like alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), glycolic acid, Retin-A, or Vitamin D3. Dead cells in the outer surface of the skin can block the active ingredients that repair the damage in the inner skin. Exfoliating ingredients should first remove the dead cells on the surface before the cream’s active ingredients could do their work.
So don’t be hasty in choosing a stretch mark cream. Do not ignore the hint of your of stretch mark’s color. But nobody is stopping you from choosing a cream that can treat both old and new stretch marks alike.
