So often now people are turning to natural remedies for so many conditions. They are beginning to understand that natural products and natural remedies can, in some cases, be as good or even better than the artificial version. That includes skin care products.

50 or so years ago everyone went to the doctor because that was all there was, but now there is such a strong movement towards more natural remedies and products that many natural therapists are booked out.

But although this is true it doesn’t mean that all natural remedies and therapies work well, or at all. Many do not and there are many examples of natural therapists touting natural cures for all sorts of things that aren’t cures and aren’t natural.

It’s the same with skin care. You can find many brands of natural skin care products but you’ll also find if you do some digging that some aren’t quite as “natural” as you might expect, and some don’t work as well as you would like.

But notwithstanding there are good reasons why people are turning to natural skin care products in droves. It’s simple. Many big name skin care products contain ingredients that are dangerous to your health. There’s many examples. Some of these ingredients are bad for your health, and some are even bad for your skin.

For example many skin care products contain petrochemical products like mineral oil. This isn’t good for your skin and can clog pores, leading to, in some cases, acne.

And it’s even possible to find skincare products with ingredients that are known to cause cancer.

So there’s no doubt that you ought to be using skin care products comprised only of ingredients that are naturally occurring, and are known to be effective and safe.

But although you can get many skin care products that are called “natural’ there’s a problem. You see there is no definition of what “natural” actually means and the FDA isn’t required to test products to satisfy themselves that the ingredients are safe or natural. So there are still products labeled natural that contain potentially harmful ingredients.

Recently some products labeled “organic” were found with 1,4 Dioxane in them, a known carcinogen.

So it’s not quite as easy as just buying a skin care product labeled “natural”. Some aren’t quite as safe as you would like.

On my website last week I set out a process that you can go through to find out how safe your natural skin care products really are.

So if you would like to find out more about natural skin care products because you’re the sort of person interested in natural remedies read my article.

And as well as telling you the process to go through investigating natural skin care products I also tell you who makes the best ones, in my view, and why.

Because not all natural skin care products are created equal.
