Swimming is an excellent and fun activity that can be enjoyed by absolutely anyone. If you can’t afford a professional swimming teacher, then here are some ways for you to learn how to swim, so you won’t be stuck on the shore once the sexy girls in tiny bikinis call for a water fight.

What You’ll Need: sun block, swimwear, safe area for swimming, goggles

Difficulty: 5

Step 1: Find a swim buddy (who won’t only swim with you but at the same time having swimming trainer skills). If you are too bashful then don’t bother you can still learn by yourself.

Step 2: Wear a proper swimwear.

Step 3: Lather some sun block to your entire body for sun’s protection.

Step 4. Find a pool or a beach where you can practice.

Step 5. Find a shallow spot in the water without too much people. Somewhere waist deep will suffice.

Step 6. Place your hands on the edges or sides of the pool, or if you’re in the beach, then hold on to your companion (make sure this is somebody that you trust). While grabbing hold of the surface/person, dip your entire body (this includes your head as well) into the water. Keep your head steady and hold your breath.

Step 7. While grabbing onto the poolside or the hands of your friend, begin to kick your legs and feet. Make sure your knees are straight when you kick, and that you’re using the thigh muscles in order to kick. Think of your legs as those of a ballerina pointing your toes.

Step 8: Do the sets again and again until you feel comfortable about it but still underwater.

Step 9. Now while kicking, bring your left (or right, whichever works best for you) arm right in front of you. Begin to Cup your hand and bring your arm back at your side. Do the process with the other arm. You will now start to feel yourself as you start to push through water with the use of your arms.

Step 10. Practice doing this over and over again until you get to move in the correct rhythm. Make sure to move your head and body a bit to the side in order to breathe.

Step 11. If you feel that you are tired from swimming, stop. You can flip over and float on your back. You can do so by just relaxing and kicking your legs so as to propel you through the water.

Step 12: Repeat the process until you will eventually get the feel of swimming and finally learn how to. You can now enjoy beach parties like your friends!

Tips:

- Aside from the one you will be learning, there are other swimming syles that you can eventually learn later on.

- Make lengthy pulls. It will thrust you through the water faster.

Warnings:

- If you feel like you’re about to panic, stop, relax and try again.

- Learn how to float in case of any emergencies.

- Practice in shallow water first. As much as possible have somebody near you as you practice.
